You will select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
