Aluminium tig welder — Traverse County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Traverse County, Minnesota. You will work at a stainless steel fabrication shop. You should have: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Day-to-day duties: • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
