Fire and safety officer • Wichita County, Texas

Vacancy available: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Wichita County, Texas. You will work on a road and infrastructure project. What we are looking for: • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations On the job you will handle: • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift • Conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task 6+ years on the tools preferred.
