Your main tasks: • Check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits • Operate tail-lifts and pump trucks during loading and unloading • Couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock • Log working hours on the tachograph and swap driver cards • Secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars • Keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load You should have: • Valid digital tachograph card • Confident with manual handling and load securing • Clean driving record with no recent endorsements 1+ years on the tools preferred.
