Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry operative in Warren County, Iowa. You will be based on the moulding line. Your main tasks: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges You should have: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Performance bonus on top of base pay.
