Reinforcement steel fixer wanted in Chickasaw County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Chickasaw County, Iowa. You will be based at a rebar fabrication workshop. Ideal candidate: • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire Day to day you will cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat.
