Immediate opening: offshore rigger (Rhode Island)

Now hiring: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Kent County, Rhode Island. What we are looking for: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather On a typical shift you will tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position.
