Great opportunity: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Graham County, North Carolina. The job is in a food and dairy equipment factory. What we are looking for: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height You will carry out 6G pipe welds where required; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding.
