Pipe tig welder • Lycoming County, Pennsylvania

We are recruiting: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. You will work at a busy sheet-metal workshop. On the job you will handle: • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges Requirements: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight 4+ years on the tools preferred. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
