Vacancy available: we are hiring a cement mason in Jackson County, South Dakota. You will be based on a high-rise slab pour. Your main tasks: • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified Ideal candidate: • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
