We are recruiting: we are hiring a rebar foreman in Haines Borough, Alaska. The role involves check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors. Requirements: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates Six days a week, one day off.
