Crane rigger • Albany County, New York

Join our team: we are hiring a crane rigger in Albany County, New York. You will be based in a steel fabrication yard. Day-to-day duties: • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket 1+ years on the tools preferred. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
