Steel fixer — Douglas County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a steel fixer in Douglas County, Illinois. You will work at a rebar fabrication workshop. Your main tasks: • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman You should have: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) 4+ years on the tools preferred.
