Immediate opening: we are hiring a rigger in Gilpin County, Colorado. You will be based in a steel fabrication yard. Day-to-day duties: • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks Requirements: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites 1+ years on the tools preferred.
