Fabricator-welder — Putnam County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Putnam County, Ohio. You will be based in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. Day to day you will grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through. You should have: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Rotating shifts.
