Site safety steward • Deschutes County, Oregon

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a site safety steward in Deschutes County, Oregon. The job is in a chemical processing unit. Your main tasks: • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors What we are looking for: • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot 4+ years on the tools preferred.
