Escalator technician wanted in Vermillion County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an escalator technician in Vermillion County, Indiana. You will be based in a machine room on the rooftop. Day to day you will measure rope tension and check for broken strands; wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches; test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake; replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays; install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway. What we are looking for: • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
