Port container crane operator wanted in Currituck County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Currituck County, North Carolina. You will be based in a warehouse fitted with overhead cranes. On the job you will handle: • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins What we are looking for: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
