GMAW welder • City and Borough of Wrangell, Alaska

Immediate opening: we are hiring a GMAW welder in City and Borough of Wrangell, Alaska. You should have: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Willing to work shifts and overtime Day-to-day duties: • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch 1+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $4,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
