Great opportunity: fettler (Texas)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fettler in Martin County, Texas. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. Day-to-day duties: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale Ideal candidate: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Basic grinding and fettling skills 2+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Pay around $3,200 per month, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
