Plasterer's mate • Yakutat City and Borough, Alaska

We are recruiting: we are hiring a plasterer's mate in Yakutat City and Borough, Alaska. You will work on a busy domestic building site. Ideal candidate: • Reliable timekeeping and a strong work ethic • Physically fit for lifting bags of plaster and mixing all day • CSCS card or willing to obtain one The role involves: • Fix and set angle beads, stop beads and corner beads • Mix gypsum plaster and cement render to a workable consistency • Float and rule off walls to a flat surface with a straightedge • Check walls for plumb and level as you go • Tape and joint plasterboard seams with scrim and filler • Dot-and-dab plasterboard to walls and ceilings Full-time with occasional weekends.
