You should have: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness Day-to-day duties: • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads Rotating shifts.
