Pipe TIG welder • Kimble County, Texas

Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Kimble County, Texas. What we are looking for: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces On the job you will handle: • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise Full-time with occasional weekends.
