Steel fixing chargehand • Calhoun County, Texas

We are recruiting: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Calhoun County, Texas. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. On a typical shift you will form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; assemble column and beam cages on the bench; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings. Requirements: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) Part-time with flexible hours. $5,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
