Brick and block layer • Kern County, California

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Kern County, California. You will work on a commercial construction site. On a typical shift you will forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel. What we are looking for: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
