Ideal candidate: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Day to day you will feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run. At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $3,900 per month, based on your experience. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Six days a week, one day off.
