Join our team: we are hiring a sausage maker in Alpena County, Michigan. You will be based at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required On a typical shift you will break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; season and marinate meat on request. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
