Aluminium tig welder — Major County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Major County, Oklahoma. You will be based in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day On the job you will handle: • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
