Join our team: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Lapeer County, Michigan. You will work at a stainless steel fabrication shop. What we are looking for: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection On the job you will handle: • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
