Now hiring: we are hiring a ceiling and wall plasterer in Otsego County, New York. You will work in an occupied house during renovation. Requirements: • Able to mix plaster to the right consistency by feel • Knowledge of different plasters, renders and bonding agents • Able to read drawings and set out work to a deadline Day-to-day duties: • Float and rule off walls to a flat surface with a straightedge • Apply bonding and browning undercoats to brickwork and blockwork • Set up trestles and scaffold boards for ceiling work • Tape and joint plasterboard seams with scrim and filler • Clean trowels, buckets and mixers before the plaster sets Meals and transport allowance provided.
