Immediate opening: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Bourbon County, Kansas. You will work in a heavy machinery workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area You should have: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles Full-time with occasional weekends.
