Foundry labourer wanted in Sedgwick County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Sedgwick County, Colorado. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Day-to-day duties: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale You should have: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling 3+ years on the tools preferred.
