Semi-automatic welder • Sumter County, Alabama

Vacancy available: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Sumter County, Alabama. You will be based at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. The role involves clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; grind back and re-weld any defective runs; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc. Ideal candidate: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
