Tig welder wanted in Jones County

Join our team: we are hiring a tig welder in Jones County, Texas. The job is at a stainless steel fabrication shop. Requirements: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) On a typical shift you will weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
