Restoration bricklayer • Brookings County, South Dakota

Vacancy available: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Brookings County, South Dakota. Your main tasks: • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $5,000 per month, based on your experience. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
