MIG welder — Southeastern Connecticut Planning Region

Join our team: we are hiring a MIG welder in Southeastern Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. You will change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing. What we are looking for: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test 1+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $240 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
