Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welder in Sac County, Iowa. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Ideal candidate: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding On the job you will handle: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool Six days a week, one day off. $4,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
