Precision welder wanted in Lucas County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a precision welder in Lucas County, Iowa. What we are looking for: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings The role involves: • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode Rotating shifts.
