Stamping press operator — Calabar South

Vacancy available: we are hiring a stamping press operator in Calabar South, Cross River State. You will be based at a white goods manufacturing plant. Day-to-day duties: • Punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components • Fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges • Operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses • Top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings Ideal candidate: • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts Rotating shifts.
