Sample machinist wanted in Meade County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sample machinist in Meade County, Kentucky. You will be based in a sampling and tailoring workshop. On a typical shift you will press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension. Ideal candidate: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Rotating shifts. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
