Safety officer — City of Richmond

We are recruiting: we are hiring a safety officer in City of Richmond, Virginia. You will work at a manufacturing plant. Your main tasks: • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift Requirements: • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $3,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
