Banksman • Kura, Kano State

Immediate opening: we are hiring a banksman in Kura, Kano State. You will be based in a heavy machinery workshop. On the job you will handle: • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit Ideal candidate: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
