Pressman wanted in Brighton and Hove

We are recruiting: we are hiring a pressman in Brighton and Hove, England. The job is in a tailoring workshop. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets Your main tasks: • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Give each garment a final press before packing • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron 5+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Pay around £2,300 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
