Immediate opening: retail butcher (Texas)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a retail butcher in Anderson County, Texas. The job is in a meat processing plant. You should have: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate The role involves: • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
