Foundry worker wanted in Oxfordshire

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry worker in Oxfordshire, England. You will be based in the fettling and dressing shop. Day-to-day duties: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Rotating shifts.
