Join our team: furnace operator (Pennsylvania)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a furnace operator in Indiana County, Pennsylvania. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. On the job you will handle: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring You should have: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Full-time, day shift.
