Great opportunity: we are hiring a tig welder in Perquimans County, North Carolina. You will work in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Own basic hand tools and PPE Your main tasks: • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions We offer $3,800 per month plus benefits.
