Now hiring: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Jones County, Mississippi. The job is in a heavy machinery workshop. Day to day you will tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; guide loads through tight openings into their final position; read lift plans and method statements before starting; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists. Ideal candidate: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness Rotating shifts.
