Metal roofing fitter — Putnam County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a metal roofing fitter in Putnam County, Illinois. The role involves insulate and ventilate the roof void; replace cracked or slipped tiles and slates; nail down asphalt shingles in staggered courses; strip old shingles and felt back down to the deck; seal joints and penetrations with mastic and lead flashing. Requirements: • Confident working at height on ladders and scaffolds • Strong enough to lift tile packs and felt rolls all day • Knowledge of both pitched and flat roofing systems Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
