We are recruiting: we are hiring a steel fixer in Stephenson County, Illinois. On the job you will handle: • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust What we are looking for: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling We offer $3,300 per month plus benefits.
